  • I assist clients in facing a wide variety of health issues and other concerns. I’ve helped hundreds of people enjoy healthier relationships with everything from their families to their careers. Nutrition, eating habits, stress and sleep are areas of special concentration for me, where I am the most seasoned.

If I don't have experience with your specific issues, I rely on my training and resources to help you in any way that is within the scope of my practice.

  • To get to know you better, I ask you to create your “health vision” in words, pictures, music or whatever media are appropriate. Your health vision forms the basis for goals we set together and helps me understand what you value most. Next, we brainstorm ideas for specific, measurable short-term objectives. I keep you accountable to your goals and I’m your biggest cheerleader!

Subsequent sessions focus on your achievements and whether you’ve encountered any blocks along the way. We may come up with methods for avoiding challenges, as needed. Sometimes, a goal may not hold meaning after a while. In this case, we define new objectives to move you toward your health vision.

  • The more invested we humans are in an outcome, the more likely we are to participate in reaching it. It’s also important for me to understand my clients’ values, so we can use them as guideposts to create targets. Before someone will commit to changing their life, they need a strong, heartfelt reason.

Here’s an example: One of my clients wanted to spend more time babysitting and playing with his grandchildren, but excess weight was sapping his energy. We came up with some short-term goals to start: Each week, he’d eat two less fast-food meals and take three 20-minute walks. Because he placed such importance on his family, he was driven to meet these challenges and more, as we continued working together. As a result, he was able to manage his weight and had more energy to show up how he wanted to for his family.
